The needs of UHNW families and family offices are unique and dramatically different from the needs of affluent clients. Their lives are extremely complex, and their needs are broad. They require a holistic approach and objective advice to address their full balance sheet and a comprehensive set of services—financial and non-financial—as well as best–in-class products. Unfortunately, few commercial firms are fully delivering on these needs, and families are unable to discern the various value propositions presented to them
The UNHW Institute was founded responding to the overarching confusion, lack of transparency and unbiased education available in the marketplace.  Our Mission is to:
Offer an intellectual understanding and organization of the Family Wealth field.
Educate UHNW families and family offices as they navigate the wealth management industry.
Provide insights and resources to advisors and wealth management firms as they strive to better serve UHNW and family office clients.
Promote best practices, professional development and sustainable, positive change in the wealth management industry.
Additionally, we will ensure that we remain an independent, objective organization that represents the entire industry and at all costs – avoids conflicts of interest and even the appearance of “pay to play”.
The Founders and Advisory Board members comprise a group of industry veterans, senior operating executives and thought leaders, who have joined forces, together with the Family Wealth Report, to address these issues for the benefit of the industry and the clients they serve. They will be supported by an Editorial Board and a Faculty composed of some of the greatest experts in the wealth-management space, as well as Advisor Council members that include firms and individual advisors from the wealth management industry.
